Tom Armes

Worked in the Leisure Industry in the early part of my career managing Health & Fitness Clubs and then for the last 20 years I have been an Area General Manager for Branded Hotels within the UK.

Qualified as a Mountain Leader 10 years ago and have worked as a Mountain Challenge Event Manager since retiring back in 2023. Also work as an International Mountain Leader and a Duke of Edinburgh Assessor.

Was on the Visit Wiltshire Tourism Board when managing the Holiday Inn Salisbury-Stonehenge. I have been a mentor at Oxford Brooks University for many years for undergraduate students studying Tourism and Hospitality. I have also managed my sons junior football teams for Marlow Youth.

Long affiliation with PyB for over 20 years having completed my Walking Group Leader, Hill & Moorland Leader, and my Mountain Leaders Awards. Having completed many First Aid courses there as well as bringing corporate teams to the centre for team building. Really pleased to be able to give something back to PyB.
