Lee is presently the CEO of Sandy Bear charity, supporting children, young people and families across Wales who have been, or are preparing for a bereavement. He has a career that has seen him working across statutory functions within the NHS, Local authority and Public Health, and several roles at a senior level within voluntary sector organisations. Whilst his work has seen him supporting a broad range of beneficiary groups, his passion and focus has been supporting children and young people to achieve the best outcomes possible.

His work has previously seen him leading activity residentials, though his present interest in the great outdoors and exploring Eryri (Snowdonia) consists of getting out in the mountains with his hubby and three dogs in between renovating a tired old cottage. He also supports the governance committee of Disability Sport Wales.

Having seen the outcomes that can be achieved through outdoor education, he hopes to use prior experience, coupled with more recent knowledge of governance and work with diverse communities to support the Mountain Training Trust to thrive.
