Andrew Sutherland

I am a former member of the global digital leadership team at Mars, Incorporated with board level experience on one of Mars’ UK trading companies.  My 30 year corporate career included roles in Sales, Supply Chain and Digital, leading teams around the world.

I now have a portfolio of volunteer roles.  In parallel with my Plas y Brenin trustee role I am the lead volunteer for Digital Transformation at The Scouts and was on the Scouts’ national covid recovery team.  I am a lifelong hillwalker who has done several courses at Plas y Brenin, and a far less accomplished canoeist and mountain biker!   I live in Cookham in Berkshire and pass Bisham Abbey on my most regular mountain bike route.  I see Plas y Brenin as a central part of the outdoor life of the UK, a critical enabler of widening safe and responsible outdoor activity for all our communities.
