Head of Commercial & Marketing
I joined PyB in August 2023 and my key responsibilities include managing the day-to-day activities of the finance department; development of the finance team, on time and accurate reporting of financial performance; and being an active member of the senior leadership team.
I am a qualified finance professional with 35 years’ experience of working in the commercial sector, predominately for SMEs in a range of industries. My career started as a trainee management accountant for a national training and recruitment company where I progressed to being the accountant for the recruitment division. From this foundation, my roles progressed through being a commercial accountant with a transport business, Group Financial Controller with a global digital hearing aid manufacture and Head of Finance / Finance Director for a range of businesses including a boat sales business, property developer, hearing aid retailer and specialist haulier.
North Wales is a place I know very well through family living in the area and spending many summer holidays in the region. I relocated to the area several years ago and am happy to call the region my home.
Working at PyB enables me to spend time in a place of stunning scenery that is special to me.
I enjoy the outdoors and spending my time working with likeminded people is a privilege. I have been keen to move away from the commercial sector and work for a charity or a not-for-profit entity. Whilst running my own business I purposely targeted charities to work with and I’m happy to say that I helped a number of them to save significant amounts of money through better value procurement.
