Pete Catterall

Pete became Plas y Brenin’s Head of Instruction in 2022, where his primary role is to lead and support the Instructor team in all course delivery and to oversee and ensure that we deliver a safe and inspiring programme of courses for everyone.  He is very fortunate to work with a great team of Instructors, all of whom share a passion for the outdoors, adventure and enthusiasm to pass this on to others.

Whilst Pete’s day to day role is predominantly management focused, he is directly involved with the delivery of many aspects of Plas y Brenin’s work throughout the year.

Pete is a highly qualified and experienced outdoor professional. Pete started kayaking at the age of 9 and since then has never stopped. He loves the exploration side of whitewater and the sea, and the most new and unexplored rivers are his main passion.
