Chris Thornton

Originating from a design engineer role, I moved into management and the implementation and introduction of new plant and processes namely in the semi-conductor industries. Me and my teams oversaw the implementation of multi-million investments to successful production realisation.

From here, I stayed within engineering but pivoted toward software and moved into business process automation. This gave me a firm understanding using software as a tool, and ensuring processes within a business deliver in an efficient and obvious way.

As a family we decided to move away from England and relocate to Anglesey. Whilst here, I headed up operations for a Facilities Management company delivering PPM contracts for the likes of MoD, Transport for Wales etc. Firstly, I implemented a full enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) system. Once these foundations were in place, we then successfully brought more contracts to the business and were able to dramatically expand.

My passion is fairness and equal access to opportunity. I attended a standard state comprehensive. My life has been shaped by the opportunities that have been presented to me and I’ve worked hard to realise.
